In 2023, utility-scale solar installations saw significant global growth, driven by expanding renewable energy adoption and supportive policies. Solar capacity installations reached record levels worldwide, with the U.S. alone adding approximately 33 GW of new solar capacity across multiple sectors, nearly 20 GW of which came from utility-scale projects. While this marks a significant advancement compared to previous years, the industry still faces several challenges.

In this pv magazine Webinar, our guest speakers Josep Tienda, vice president of international sales, and Francisco Ramon, international PV product manager at Shoals Technologies, will explore the key challenges associated with electrical balance of systems (EBOS) solutions in solar projects globally, along with their underlying causes. They will discuss the impact of labor shortages on installation timelines and project costs, as well as the risks of using low-cost materials. Special attention will be given to the complexities of on-site connector installation and the compounding risks that can threaten project stability worldwide. The session will also cover future trends in solar PV and offer strategies to optimize projects and safeguard them against emerging risks.
