SunPower supplies 130 MW of modules in France

The US module manufacturer will supply 130 MW of modules for 25 projects selected in France’s recent tender for PV projects larger in size than 250 kW. Most of the modules will be manufactured at the company’s factory in Toulouse, south-western France.

Four bidders for Turkey’s 1 GW Konya solar PV plant

The names of four consortia that will bid for Turkey’s 1 GW solar PV plant in Konya have been revealed. The tender will take place on 20th March.

Algeria to launch 4 GW solar tender by the end of March

The Algerian government is set to launch a tender for the construction of large-scale PV projects totaling 4 GW. The tender will be held in three 1,350 MW phases and will select projects with an average capacity of 100 MW.

Turkey delays tender of 1 GW solar plant by one month

Turkey’s tender for the flagship solar PV project with 1 GW of capacity has been postponed for one month. The government wants the plant to be built using locally manufactured content only.

Lowest price in Germany’s PV bidding €0.06/kWh

Germany’s Federal Network Agency has awarded 38 bids in the first PV tender under the EEG 2017. The average bid price fell lower than the pilot tenders, reaching €0.0658 per kWh.

Chile signs new electrical supply tender

1,620 GWh of capacity is set to be auctioned in the daytime block. The timetable has been set for the presentation of bids for the first stage to take place on 11 October.

Morocco: 170 MW of solar PV at €0.042/kWh

Masen, Morocco’s public agency for renewable energies, has revealed that Acwa Power will develop 170 MW of solar PV plants in the country at a rate of €0.0422 per kWh.

Mexico targets addition of 5.4 GW of PV in next 3 years

PV capacity in the country could be increased 20-fold from the 270 MW currently installed by the end of 2019.
