Indian government mandates stringent quality controls for solar equipment

In a much-awaited move, India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has mandated that, effective April 16, 2018, all solar equipment manufacturers will have to register their equipment with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

Canadian Solar exceeds Q4 shipment guidance, posts $99.6m profit in 2017

Canadian Solar has recorded net income of about $99.6 million for 2017, up sharply from the preceding year, as its full-year PV module shipments jumped by roughly 1.6 GW on the year to 6.8 GW.
