The Dutch brewer unveils its “drop the C” program for renewable energy. The campaign aims at growing its share of renewable thermal energy and electricity in production from the current level of 14% to 70% by 2030.
The Dutch PV project, “Zonnepark Lange Runde” was officially inaugurated this week. Belectric built the 14 MW plant after having been awarded the EPC contract from Statkraft, alongside the municipality of Emmen.
According to new numbers released by Good!/Solar Solutions, the Dutch solar market grew by 60% last year. PV currently covers approximately 2.2% of the country’s power demand, while monocrystalline modules accounted for around 60% of last year’s solar panel sales.
The Dutch-British oil giant will build a 20 MW solar facility at its Moerdijk chemicals site. The project is part of the group’s strategy to install solar facilities at its own operations.
The Energy Investment Allowance (EIA) is a fiscal measure that offers the possibility for an additional allowance on taxable profit.
The company has also been granted a licence for the deployment of 12 MW of storage in the Netherlands.
The first window to submit solar projects will be opened in the so-called “Spring Round” on March 19. The program is open, among other renewable energy projects, to solar plants over 1 MW and projects ranging in size from 15 kW to 1 MW.
The Dutch construction group is currently developing four PV plants with a combined capacity of 50 MW in the Netherlands.
Around 37 MW of community solar power projects have been built in Holland so far this year.
The solar facility, which was entirely financed by Netherlands’ Ministry of economic affairs, is located on the island of Sint Eustatius.
