Lithuania’s new energy strategy bets on wind and prosumers
Although the country’s new national energy independence strategy says wind will represent 65% of its total renewable energy share by 2050, the number of households that self-generate their power (predominantly from solar) is expected to increase from 34,000 in 2020, to 500,000 in 2030.
Test operation of solar glas façade completed succesfully
A façade including 75 glass-glass module with a total output of 15 Kw had been installed on a surface area of an office building in Lithuania. After six months of test operation the involved companies expect that the system’s yield could be up to 800 kWh/kW.
Lithuanian government improves net metering scheme for solar
Lithuania’s new green-oriented government hopes to install approximately 200 MW of new residential and commercial PV capacity under an improved net metering scheme over the next three years.
