Colombia issues legislation for self-consumption

The Colombian government has published the decree that regulates the installation of renewable energy and solar power systems for self-consumption. The new regulation, which applies to systems up to 100 kW, simplifies the procedures for grid-connection and sale of excess power.

Chint signs framework agreement to build solar factory in Brazil

World Bank approves $480 million guarantee to promote solar and renewables in Argentina

Mexico signs lowest-price solar contracts to date

Contracts have been signed for 1.8 GW of solar in Mexico, including one contract at a price of US$26.99/MWh by Fotowatio. The median price for solar in this auction was around $31.70/MWh.

Mexico to reach 460 MW of distributed solar by the end of 2017
