Amigo Solar, a Chilean microgrid provider, announced yesterday its collaboration with a digitized billing system that will help it to alter the utility landscape in the Latin American country. The case shows how solar and IT change the electricity market structures.
In March, PV systems totaling 2.8 MW were installed in the Latin American country under the net-metering scheme.
The three large-scale PV projects are being developed in the frame of the national plan for the development of renewable energies.
The $255 million offering makes Sunnova the latest distributed solar provider to offer securities backed by residential solar assets.
