At The smarter E Europe this year, pv magazine Focus will once again bring high-level discussion of the latest trends affecting solar and energy storage markets in Europe and beyond. Join us on day 2 in the conference center for sessions in English and German, during which we’ll explore crucial topics for projects large and small.
In the first session, held in English, we will focus on large-scale battery storage in Europe. Manufacturers, project developers, operators, and service providers will join to discuss challenges and opportunities from planning and construction to operations and maintenance. Covering both standalone battery projects and those co-located with solar, we will examine various battery-based revenue models and the sector’s ongoing challenges.
Session 2, held in German, will zoom in on German residential and C&I markets. We’ll focus the discussion on the role of home energy management systems and new features being introduced in 2025. This also feeds into the integration of batteries, heat pumps, electric vehicles, and other components and their potential participation in energy markets. We will also provide a full overview of the systems and solutions currently available on the market.
Session 1: Optimizing large-scale battery storage projects: What revenue models are available and how can risks best be addressed? (in English)
Session 2: Optimizing energy at home: High self-consumption, smart interfaces, and profitable market integration (in German)
