The device will allow Valoe's engineering and R&D team to validate complex composite assemblies, some of them will be odd shaped and even 3 dimensional. Valoe is engineering high-tech PV modules specifically for the use as a power source for solar electric vehicles.

“We are pleased to have found a supplier that can fulfill our challenging requirements” said Tuukka Savisalo, Valoe's Chief Technology Officer.” Our ViPV panels have a 3D shape and we are using high efficiency IBC cells. Plus, we want to study our PV modules over extended periods of time with continuous light. Wavelabs has a good track record in producing custom designed measurement units, and their fast response time and high competence convinced us to work with them.”

“Engineering this special device for Valoe is an important milestone for us,” said Dr. Torsten Brammer, Chief Executive Officer of Wavelabs. “We constantly analyze the global solar market to anticipate how we can support the use of PV across many industries and applications. Being part of the development process of vehicle integrated PV (ViPV) in collaboration with Valoe, the leading European manufacturer, is very exciting for us and we think the opportunities this brings for a carbon neutral world in the future are huge!”
