VSUN SOLAR Named Dr. Aihua Wang as Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Aihua Wang, one of the winners of The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering, is now joining VSUN SOLAR to support the Company's continued turnaround strategy and execution.

During her tenure at University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia, Dr. Wang and Dr. J. zhao, pioneered the development of high-efficiency c-Si PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) and PERL (Passivated Emitter, Rear Locally-diffused) cell structures. The groundbreaking work led to the demonstration of a world-record 25% energy conversion efficiency in 1999.

For such remarkable contributions, Dr. Wang was honored with prestigious accolades including the Advance Global Australian Award (2013) , the Australia in the Asian Century Award (2013) and The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering (2023).
