The jury's criteria included design quality, workmanship, choice of materials, degree of innovativeness, as well as functionality, ergonomics, visualization of use, and safety.

A total of 2,756 submissions from 43 nations partake in this competition. As tradition dictates, the iF product design award ceremony will take place on the opening day of CeBIT trade show in Hannover, Germany. The iF award is among the world's most renowned and oldest design competitions, and this honor has been bestowed 57 times.
