Former Attorney General of Louisiana, Charles C. Foti, Jr., Esq., a partner at the law firm of Kahn Swick & Foti, LLC (“KSF”), announces that KSF has commenced an investigation into Vivint Solar, Inc. (NYSE: VSLR).

On November 10, 2014, in its first quarterly report since the Company’s Initial Public Offering, Vivint reported a much wider than expected loss in the third quarter of 2014. Vivint lost 66 cents a share in the quarter excluding various items, compared with a 20-cent loss per share in the year-earlier quarter and analysts’ average expected loss of 20 cents a share.

On this news, the price of Vivint’s shares plummeted by over 20% in inter-day trading.

KSF’s investigation is focusing on whether Vivint and/or its officers and directors violated state or federal securities laws.
