Certification was presented in a ceremony on March 7. ISO 37301:2021 was published by the International Organization for Standardization in April 2021 for establishing, developing, implementing, evaluating, maintaining and improving an effective and responsive compliance management system within organizations.
Those who attended the ceremony included: Gao Jiqing, Executive Vice President of Trina Solar; Wu Xiao, Head of Risk Control and ESG Management at Trina Solar; and Amit Jethwa, BSI’s Global Senior Finance Practice Partner.
Gao stressed the importance of including compliance management in the company’s operations and management, saying all overseas subsidiaries needed to adhere to regulations tailored for local companies. He also talked of Trina Solar’s efforts to cultivate a compliance culture in the company and with its partners, aiming for compliance management to become a core value among employees, and thus creating a robust code of conduct.
Wu said the Trina Solar’s acquisition of ISO 37301:2021 certification validates the company’s existing management systems. She emphasized the significance of advancing compliance management in specific domains to ensure the company’s sustainable development.
In addition to ISO 37301:2021, Trina Solar is accredited with: ISO 27001: information security management system certification; ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management system certification; ISO 50001 energy management system certification; as well as ISO 14040, ISO 14044 and ISO 14064 certification.
Jethwa praised the company’s dedication to establishing a robust compliance management system.
