The C-Series hits the roofs in America

Centrosolar America’s C-Series, designed exclusively for residential rooftop installations is the company’s first entirely German-made panel to be introduced in the U.S. solar market. The European version of this photovoltaic panel has already been installed on thousands of homes in Germany, Italy and Spain, and has exceeded performance ratings of similar models on the market there. The C-Series panel features triple-layer back sheets and thermally strengthened, high-impact low iron glass coated with a patented nano-power anti-reflective coating that increases energy yield. It is also among the sturdiest modules on the market.

One of the first installations completed was a 6.9 kilowatt system on a home in Glendale, Arizona. The 30 panels, installed by Chandler, Arizona- based Solar Topps, will supply 90 percent of the home’s energy requirements from the sun.

“We have used Centrosolar America’s products many times and they arrive at the jobsite in perfect condition every time. And we know the CentroSolar America team is always available to provide any service or troubleshooting we might need. The C-Series looks sleeker and cleaner on the rooftop and our homeowner customers have confidence that German-engineered panels will have the best technology and highest reliability available,” said Solar Topps President Neal Uppal. “Their warranty is the best in the business, as well.”

Uppal says his company will be installing another 72 of the C-Series panels in a 17-kilowatt installation in the near future and sees the C-Series as an important component in their business growth for the future.

The C-Series offers an anti-reflective glass coating that harvests more kWh of energy, delivering reliable and peak performance power levels in cloudy and low-sun areas, and under the adverse weather conditions in North America, notably in marine coastal installation environments where salt-spray is an issue. The modules are salt-spray tested in Germany and exceed international standards. The module has a best-in-class power tolerance rating of 0/+3 percent, which translates into more power out of the module per DC wattage than other comparably rated modules. Centrosolar America sets new warranty standards in the industry with the C-Series, including a 10-year product warranty and a 26-year, 80 percent power-loss system warranty.

The C-Series is also offered in the CentroPack Residential System. The CentroPack is the company’s ‘all in one-box’ packaged system, providing U.S. installers with a turnkey system, pre-packaged with all the components needed to install an approved residential roof-top PV system, including the C-Series PV panels, mounting systems, inverters, and all the electrical and other hardware needed.

Unique to the industry, the CentroPack includes the engineering and design services needed to configure the most complex systems. Site plans, roof load calculations, wiring diagrams, and mechanical and structural details are included, along with a detailed instruction manual. Permit ready drawings and performance spec sheets are also included.
