Invitation for Prequalification
The Helius Power Company Limited (HPC) wishes to invite all interested eligible applicants to submit proposals for prequalification for the implementation of the Enclave Solar Power Project.
Helius Power Company Limited is the power generation subsidiary of Southern Utilities Limited, a member of LMI Holdings, a highly diversified Ghanaian conglomerate with interests in the construction, property, utilities and ICT sectors in Ghana.
The Helius Power Company intends to construct and operate a rooftop solar power plant at the Tema Free Zones Enclave in Ghana, West Africa. The plant, will be approximately 12MWp photovoltaic to be located on the 92,000sqm roof space of Mega Warehouse owned by the International Warehouse Company, a subsidiary of LMI Holdings.
Helius Power Company Ltd has secured financing from various sources and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the funds towards the payment of works to be carried out under the Enclave Solar Power Project.
The Helius Power Company Limited intends to prequalify contractors for the Enclave Solar Power Project involving:
The Manufacture, Installation, Testing, Commissioning and bringing into commercial operation of:
- 12MWp (approx.) solar PV-Plant and its associated inverters
- 1 km (approx.) 34.5kV double circuit, 400sqm AAC overhead line to integrate the plant via 2No. 7.5MVA ONAN/ONAF transformers with OLTC from the plant to a new 34.5kV feeder at the existing 161/34.5/11.5kV Tema Free Zones Substation.
Prequalification will be conducted through internationally accepted guidelines and practices and is open to all eligible applicants as defined in the prequalification document. Applicants shall submit (but not limited to) the following:
- Company Profile
- Key Team Members
- Detailed Reference list of past 5 years
- Detailed Reference list of connection of MV/HV Grid
- Financial Capability
Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the Helius Power Company Limited at the address below during normal office hours – Mondays to Fridays from 0800 to 1700 hours GMT from February 11,2019.
A complete set of prequalification documents in the English Language may be obtained by interested applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below for free. The document will be issued on an electronic portal.
Applications for prequalification should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the address below no later than 1200 hours GMT on March 12,2019.
Late applications shall not be accepted and shall be rejected.
