Swedish IBC Solar in collaboration with Ahlsell

The solar market in Sweden is growing at a break-neck pace. Today, there are over 400 PV-installers and new start-ups pop up every month. IBC Solar has its roots in Germany where it was founded in 1982. In 2018 we opened a franchise in Sweden in order to make the IBC Solar quality-controlled portfolio available to all Swedish PV-installers. Through this new collaboration between IBC Solar and Ahlsell, with Ahlsell’s strong market presence in Sweden with a central warehouse and of more than 120 outlets across the country, along with its’ vast customer base, we are now simplifying access to the IBC Solar brand and its’ entire range to installers nationwide.

The PV-industry in Sweden is growing rapidly. Along with new subsidies on the way, we are convinced that PV will gain even more attention in the public eye. Producing your own electricity is an excellent way to contribute towards a more sustainable society while simultaneously reducing your electricity bill. We are delighted to be able to simplify it further, as our PV-systems are now available at Ahlsell, says Axel Alm, CEO of IBC SOLAR.

The Swedish government has issued a proposal for a new ‘green deduction’ that will come into force on January 1st, 2021. This new subsidy will replace the PV-investment grant for homeowners and will function similar to the well-known ‘ROT’, return on tax-deduction (a system that was introduced in 2004, available to homeowners for home improvement services). This ‘green deduction’ will be made directly by the installer/craftsman. It will also be possible to expand ones’ PV-system since the subsidy is linked to a person and their annual allowance.

We see an increasing interest in PV from our customers, which will increase even further when the ‘green deduction’ is introduced. IBC SOLAR is an experienced and secure partner who is at the forefront. Together, we now have a complete portfolio with quality-controlled PV-systems that our customers can buy via their usual sales contact. We want it to be easy to be a professional, says Daniel Snöman, Division Manager EL, at Ahlsell.
