The agreement includes a supply contract to provide S.A.T. with 41.5 MWp of PV modules over a three year period. This agreement covers the delivery of Project Pro Modules, which will be manufactured by Sovello in Ontario under OEM contracts following the same strict quality and testing standards as at the Thalheim factory in Germany.
S.A.T. will offer Project Pro Modules to their customers for turnkey system integration. S.A.T. and Sovello will also cooperate on developing larger projects, which will include project planning, financing, and installation.
Sovello CEO Ted Scheidegger on finalizing the contract: "With this project-development partnership and the OEM manufacturing of photovoltaic modules in Ontario, Canada, Sovello has taken a big step forwards in continuing its international expansion. Canadians value quality German workmanship from product manufacturing through integration and have launched a PV market with exceptional growth potential. We are particularly excited to offer products and complete PV solutions in Ontario, and take a leading role in this market together with our strong project partner S.A.T."
S.A.T. Canada CEO Thorsten Hoefer: "The feed-in tariff, introduced in Ontario in 2009 and responsible for the widespread growth of the local PV industry, is the basis for establishing our operations here in Canada. Through our years of experience in realising PV systems of all sizes in Germany, and our close partnership with Sovello, we now look towards the successful establishment of our company in this country. We are very enthusiastic to have a partner at our side who demands the same first class products and standards as we do. This has in-so-far distinguished our company for 15 years of successful operation."
