The solar modules will be produced at the largest CIS factory in the world, which is based on decades of advanced engineering and modeling conducted by Solar Frontier at research centers and commercial factories in Japan.

The newest factory at gigawatt-scale production capacity is the result of consistent breakthroughs in efficiency research and development, as well as successful commercialization of Solar Frontier CIS modules in segments as diverse as the Japanese, German and Australian residential markets and the South-East Asian, European, and Middle Eastern utility-scale markets. Technology and quality leadership combine with gigawatt-scale capacity to enable Solar Frontier's mission to offer a product that is both economically and ecologically advantageous.

“Solar Frontier’s thin film modules completely convinced us. The efficiency and dependability we can expect from Solar Frontier give us great confidence, and our customers can have further ecological peace of mind as Solar Frontier’s panels are cadmium-free. Solar Frontier’s sales team has come to the Italian market well-prepared as a knowledgeable and dependable consultant to our team,” said Enrico Tonduti, Sole Director, DW Europe.

“We have signed our first distribution agreement in Italy with DW Europe, and are all the more excited about Italian and Mediterranean markets despite feed-in tariff uncertainties. We look forward to DW Europe’s customers experiencing the advantages of CIS modules that are both efficient and ecological regardless of whether they will be rooftop installations for personal use or installed for commercial purposes,” said Wolfgang Lange, Managing Director, Solar Frontier Europe. “We look forward to a long partnership with DW Europe with great confidence in both companies’ success.”
