“We are excited to diversify our company’s land to now use solar power to generate our electrical needs,” stated Jake Scott, president of Collum’s Lumber Products, LLC. Executives from Collum’s and from SolAmerica, along with members of the Allendale Chamber of Commerce, and trade-business-community media will be on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony and to celebrate the activation of this new solar installation.
The array was designed, engineered and installed by SolAmerica, a renewable energy company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and the Collum’s Lumber solar PV system is made from parts and equipment manufactured in the U.S. Added Mr. Scott, “Installing a large scale solar array is one way we can demonstrate our commitment to renewable energy and contribute to positive economics for our firm.”
“Solar power is all about being conscientious about the innovative and creative use of resources to generate power and economize when doing so,” stated George Mori, vice president of SolAmerica. “We are genuinely thrilled to have been selected by Collum’s Lumber Products on their important energy initiative. At SolAmerica, we believe there is so much untapped value in renewable energy throughout the U.S. and believe that working with companies like Collum’s Lumber will enrich the promise and use of solar energy to lower energy costs and establish energy independence.”
