Siliken photovoltaic modules obtain MSC accreditation

Share

This certificate is granted by the BBA, which performed audits in Siliken’s production plants of Rafelbuñol and Casas Ibañez, Spain. The inspection organisation verified that the modules had certificates in accordance with the IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 standards, as well as the TÜV certificate.

MCS is a proof of quality and ability of the PV modules to comply with the norms and regulations required by the British government. Obtaining this certification warrants compliance with the sustainability, energy and CO? emission classifications of the Code for Sustainable Homes, which must be observed when building new houses.

In addition, the UK government has declared the MCS certificate obligatory for products and installers to be able to benefit from the Renewable Heat Incentive programme. This scheme offers aid and subsidies to individuals, companies as well as communities that carry out renewable energy installations. The MCS certificate is acknowledged by the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) for classifying energy in British homes.

MCS is an internationally recognised quality assurance programme which assesses everything, from design to installation of microgeneration renewable technologies, and certifies that the products meet the demanding standards.

From now on, Siliken PV modules will bear this scheme’s mark, thanks to which the company is allowed to carry out photovoltaic installations in the UK, warranting compliance with all English and Scottish requirements.
