Shinsung E&G announced on the 24th that it has mediated an off-site PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) contract totaling 7 MW between NAVER and 12 solar power generators, including SR E-Solution and Yeoju Energy Cooperative. Through this agreement, NAVER will receive approximately 7 GWh of renewable energy annually for 25 years.
NAVER is actively promoting environmental management with the goal of achieving ‘2040 Carbon Negative,' which aims to reduce more greenhouse gases than those emitted during business operations by 2040. Last year, the company accelerated its RE100 implementation by installing additional solar power facilities at Green Factory (1st headquarters) in Seongnam and Connect One in Chuncheon, and introducing various energy-saving technologies.
A key feature of this contract is that Shinsung E&G achieved economies of scale by bundling power generation facilities from multiple small-scale power generators. Additionally, it optimized power generation efficiency through a real-time monitoring system and systematic operation management platform, ensuring stable power supply through long-term contracts.
