At the meeting, the mission statement, goals and basic structure of the association were established. Matthew Holzmann was confirmed as president and Jasbir Bath as vice president of the association. Additional vice presidents and directors of SEMA will be confirmed shortly for the first year and elections will be held for the following years.
Additionally, committee members were confirmed for the Formation and Steering Committee, Technical Committee and Website Development Committee. SEMA is an international, member-driven organization that will create a forum for like-minded professionals to network, debate and exchange technical information for the advancement of solar technology. The association will identify gaps in standards and host an annual conference as well as chapter-based meetings and seminars.
