Over the last 12 months, SegenSolar has not only seen a significant increase in PV and storage system sales across its core markets of Germany, Benelux and Poland, but also across the whole of Europe. Various factors including changes in regulation, the Ukraine war, the rising costs of gas and electricity, and the ever-present threat of climate change have forced governments and individuals alike to change the way they think about energy consumption and increase the rate of renewable energy generation. More and more countries are offering subsidies for installing solar, making it more affordable for private individuals as well as businesses to install an integrated PV/storage system. There is now a huge amount of pressure, as well as a huge amount of potential, for those countries where the installed PV capacity is currently low to significantly increase their renewable energy consumption to meet ambitious EU targets and become independent from fossil fuels. SegenSolar has witnessed this first-hand through an influx of enquiries from installers based in countries such as Austria, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Czechia, and many more.
“The amount of growth we’ve seen over the last year has been incredible,” comments Andrew Garcia, Managing Director of SegenSolar. “We have already seen more sales from countries outside of our core markets in the first five months of 2023 than we saw in the whole of 2022. If nothing else, this shows just how fast PV is taking off across Europe, and we are investing in our capabilities to support this fundamental change in the way countries improve how they move to greater self-sufficiency in energy generation.”
In order to meet the surge in demand, SegenSolar is pleased to begin its expansion with the opening of a new office in Czechia.
SegenSolar’s new location, situated in the centre of Prague, will mean the company can provide a professional, dynamic service to Czechia and the surrounding markets. With self-collection capabilities as well as sales support, SegenSolar’s new office will be perfectly placed to help maximise the PV and storage systems potential across eastern and southern Europe. The SegenSolar team has already tripled over the last 12 months and moved into new headquarters four times the size of their first office which opened in 2015, and the company is still actively recruiting to support growth across key markets. By increasing the amount of local support for new and existing customers alike, SegenSolar aims to provide the level of personal sales, technical and service support the company is already well known for in Germany, Benelux and Poland to the whole of Europe.
SegenSolar is very excited about this phase of its growth and is looking forward to building and deepening long-lasting relationships with installers all across Europe to help support rapid PV growth and bring clean technology to even more people in Czechia and beyond.
