Renusol expands into US market

Renusol America was established in January, with its headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

The U.S. has the highest demand for electricity in the world, and has more hours of sunlight than most large PV markets in Europe and Asia. Both factors offer the ideal conditions for the application of photovoltaic systems.

Knowing a permanent presence in the market and the ability to adapt products to

local needs are crucial to serving customers, Renusol is making a full commitment to the U.S. The company’s Atlanta office will provide customer support, engineering, sales, service and business development functions. Production of core products adapted to U.S. standards and regulations is also transferring to the states.

To ensure responsive service, Renusol is establishing distribution centers in

Fremont, California, Scottsdale, Arizona and Edison, New Jersey.

“The foundation of Renusol America, Inc. is a strategically important and logical step for us,” said Renusol managing director Wim Coppens. “We are confident we can offer highly attractive solutions for this market with our products and our flexibility in product development. Renusol is known for reacting quickly to

changing market demands and for their ability to meet varying governmental requirements.”

“We have high expectations and see great opportunities for our products.” says Bart Leusink, chief executive officer of Renusol America. “Renusol VS (known in Europe as VarioSole), an on?roof mounting system for pitched roofs, and Renusol CS60 (known in Europe as ConSole), a revolutionary ballasted system for flat roof applications.

“The specifically designed Renusol CS60 system will be a game?changer for the US market: it is a wind?tunnel tested, ballasted system with optional roof fastening for very high wind load or seismic areas. The product further allows for extremely fast and easy planning and assembly and low installation costs. Future Renusol products for the U.S. market include systems specifically designed for ‘inroof’ applications and sheet metal roofs.”

Leusink says he and his U.S. team are excited about bringing their innovative products to the American market. “We are among the fastest growing PV mounting systems providers in Europe and we want to be in the top five in the U.S. by the end of next year.

“We have sales and technical experts on board now to service our customers and we will continue to add to our engineering, sales and account management team throughout the year. We’re thrilled to be in the U.S. market and we look forward to working with our clients to meet their specific needs.”
