Q-Cells International GmbH is one of the worlds leading integrators of PV power plants (founded 2007). In 2009, solar power plants with an aggregate power of, roughly, 150 MWp were installed in Europe and North America (covering an area of ~750 football pitches and supplying electric power for ~37,500 households).
2009 turnover was around 300 million. Prior to his engagement for Q-Cells, Klärner was a consultant at McKinsey & Co., focusing on strategic and operational topics in the utilities.
