Prothea announced that, under its advisory, the Israeli fund, Econergy, had acquired a portfolio of 7 MW of photovoltaic plants from Sorgenia SpA.
The portfolio is comprised of 10 PV plants located in several regions of Italy and includes both ground-based as well as industrial and commercial rooftop plants. A debt facility was provided as a project finance by Mediocredito Italiano.
Prothea acted as technical and financial advisor for Econergy, with Studio Legale Agnoli and Giuggioli acting as legal advisor. Alessandro Cohen, director of Protheas Renewable Energy Division, commented the transaction: "we are pleased to have been able to support Econergy once again in the development of their Italian portfolio. In such a challenging period, the ability to secure financing is confirmation of our strength and of our positioning in the market. Furthermore, it has been an honor and a pleasure to work, as a counterpart, with Sorgenia, one of the leading Italian energy companies".
