PowerField, one of the biggest solar developers in the Netherlands, appoints Ivo van Dam as “Chief Technology Officer”.

Ivo van Dam has been “Innovation Manager” at Batenburg Techniek N.V. and before that “Head of Engineering and Project Delivery Solar” at Vattenfall. He was responsible for the project delivery and engineering of Vattenfall’s European solar portfolio. He has over a decade of working experience in the solar industry. In previous functions he has lead teams, composed teams, built business units, performed audits and set up quality systems. He has both strategical knowledge and detailed knowledge of solar, Hydrogen, and energy storage.

PowerField’s CEO Henk Bleker states: “Today we take our next step in the strategy we rolled out over the past two years. With this step we incorporate the knowledge to construct solar installations and manage these assets in the future. Ivo’s knowledge is an important key to improve and build up our competence in this area.”

PowerField’s CFO Jean-Louis Bertholet states: ”I am delighted with this appointment, because it gives way to stable growth of our portfolio. We expect to construct and keep a portfolio with about 100 MW of self-developed solar installations up until the end of 2021.”

Ivo van Dam is no stranger to PowerField. In the past months he has prepared and managed the construction of multiple projects. This was the kick-off of a total commissioned capacity of 20 MW in 2020. “I am very excited to start my position at PowerField, a young company with a large portfolio and a strategy that appeals to me. It allows me to be innovating in this renewable market.”
