This installation located in the Département Var southeast of Marseille has been initiated by CE Solaire, a subsidiary of CRYO SARL, a French company specializing in the investment and in development of photovoltaic solar parks.

Phoenix Solar, a leading international photovoltaic system integrator, planned, delivered and constructed the 25 hectare solar park, which is funded by a joint venture between CRYO SARL and Infra Class Energie 5, a close-end fund of KGAL. The installation utilizes about 155,000 First Solar modules as well as 35 of Power-One’s AURORA PVI-330.0-TL-FR central inverters, a modular inverter system which has been designed with commercial-grade solar parks in mind.

“After evaluating several major inverter firms, we chose to work with Power-One”, said Damien Brunon, project manager at CE Solaire. “The modularity of the inverter system, the best-in-class uptime, Power-One’s 20-year-warranty as well as the multiple MPPTs convinced us that Power-One’s inverters are the perfect solution for this project. In addition, we made the experience that First Solar modules and Power-One inverters are the best combination in terms of costs and output. They are the ideal match helping to further optimize the energy harvesting across a wide array of operating conditions.”

“CE Solaire’s new solar park will bring green energy to approximately 5,000 households”, adds Joseph Maingard, Director Sales & Marketing Central Europe at Power-One. “We are very pleased that CE Solaire has placed its confidence in us for this project. Together with their team we planned and realized the layout, shading optimization and plant monitoring for the solar park in a very short time and we will continue to support CE Solaire with our know-how and expertise in the future.”
