With over 30 years in the industry, John has worked on all facets of insurance programs, captives, finite risk, self-insurance plans, owner-controlled insurance programs, traditional property and casualty brokerage and contractual risk transfer supporting clients in power generation.

Most recently as partner at Iridium Clean Energy, John lead the renewable energy and clean technology practice where he was responsible for setting renewal and marketing strategies, establishing service plans for power generation and clean energy accounts and developing relationships with the markets and underwriters active in the energy industry. Previously, John was a senior vice president at William Gallagher Associates (WGA) serving as energy group practice leader where he led a team of specialists with property, casualty, professional liability and environmental coverage expertise. Prior to joining WGA, John was the power and utility practice leader at Marsh, placing over USD$1 billion in premium volume within more than 100 markets in the US, London and Bermuda.
McLanes move to the GCube New York office is the second addition in recent weeks as Tim Kinsella joined the company as senior vice president to lead the solar energy practice. Both will a bring wealth of experience and insight to the organization as we continue to expand our presence in the renewable energy marketplace, concluded Stumbras.
