MPrime’s modules passed the fire tests carried out by the LAPI laboratory, which rated these modules as Class 2 for fire reaction. These tests are designed to ensure that the modules are sufficiently resistant to the effects of external fire.

“With this certification, our modules have stepped ahead of their competitors. This result confirms the high quality of MPrime’s products and, most importantly, puts MPrime amongst the few PV producers with UNI 9177 certification, which will allow us to offer added value to our customers, especially in the Italian market,” said Pedro Alves, Managing Director of MPrime.

MPrime’s modules are produced in one of the technologically best-equipped factories in Europe. Located in central Portugal, with an extremely advanced production line, completely automated and robotized, it achieves an annual production capacity of 50 MW.

The factory is part of an Integrated Management System, which is certified by the EN ISO 9001:2008, EN ISO 14001:2004 and OSHAS 18001:2007 standards. MPrime’s modules were ranked as the third-best in the general score in the 2010 Energy Yield test by TÜV Rheinland.
