Solar power systems, perfectly tailored for the local light conditions provide immediate high returns and real solar enjoyment for British customers. In addition, Conergy brings concentrated knowledge to the island. In the future, in an emerging market, distributors and installing engineers will also benefit from Conergy’s 12 years of experience in design, engineering and installation. As of right now, this is ensured by Conergy’s new representative office in Milton Keynes.

Conergy Sales Director Andreas Wilsdorf said: "In the UK, we are expanding our international presence by another growth market. Already today, Conergy generates about half of its turnover outside of Germany. We want to continue this positive trend in the future and remain unaffected by frequent market fluctuations.”

Robert Goss, Head of the Conergy office in England, is really looking forward to the new market: “With its solar modules, inverters and mounting systems Conergy offers quality, the UK can trust. Conergy's PowerPlus modules have a particularly high output there – not only in sun, but also in low light. In the English fog and in cloudy conditions, their attested, excellent low-light performance comes into play – and has the upper hand especially where other modules have a massively lower output capacity.”

Conergy's claim to be a premium brand in United Kingdom is not only limited to the high quality components, but also to the extensive services “In the future, we will be supporting out wholesale and installation partners on site with our profound knowledge coming from twelve years of experience in solar power,” said Goss. “We provide starting aid to our partner companies in the emerging UK solar power market and train our customers in all areas. In this way, we are advancing solar power in the UK, together with our partners.”

The market is booming in the United Kingdom. Experts predict additional installations of over 200 megawatts, just in the year 2011. A continued rapid market growth is also expected in the future – this is largely due to the most attractive feed-in tariffs for solar energy. Through that, the customer earns up to 50 cents per kilowatt-hour for 25 years. Those, who also consume their own solar power can save an average of 14 cents in energy purchasing costs – or they can sell it for three cents to a grid operator. Conergy in Milton Keynes wants to guarantee that these earnings are not just a “flash in the pan” for British operators: "With our quality products and services” said Goss, “we are getting the most out of the Britissh sun for our customers. Even when things are in the fog again…“

Conergy will introduce its products and services to the British public for the first time at the solar trade show “ecobuild” in London. From March 1 to 3, 2011, Conergy experts are there for clients and journalists at booth (N2726) and available for their questions.
