The company said the new product, the LM320KS-A2, can be easily installed as it weighs only 1 kilogram and is 31.5mm wide.

Inverters are used to convert the direct current (DC) output of solar modules into the alternating current that can be used at home.

The new product boasts an efficiency of around 95.2 percent, an improvement from the 94.3 percent of existing products, LG Electronics said.

The new inverter also supports the Bluetooth technology, allowing users to check its performance through their smartphones.

This product was designed specifically for Korea. Other LG AC-module technologies are available in the United States and other markets.
