The Scandinavian-German module manufacturer Innotech Solar AS (ITS) has won the electronics distributor FEGA & Schmitt as a sales partner for its European solar modules.

"The renewable energy sector is one of the most important growth markets for our electronics distribution company, especially given the soaring price of electricity. More and more customers want to produce their own electricity for on-site consumption," reports Alexander Schopf, who is responsible for purchase and distribution within FEGA & Schmitt’s renewable energy division. "We attach the utmost importance to quality and reliability when selecting our suppliers. In the case of Innotech Solar, their high-quality products, European manufacturing sites and environmentally friendly production process really clinched the deal."

"Over the past few months, several distributors have added our solar modules to their portfolios. While the fact that our modules are manufactured in Europe was a deciding factor for each and every one of them, our products' high yields and the excellent green credentials of our manufacturing process also played an important role. We are delighted that we now have the opportunity to work with the highly respected electronics distributor FEGA & Schmitt," states Dr. Thomas Hillig, Vice President Module Sales & Marketing at Innotech Solar.

ITS modules are made using optimized high-performance cells. The environmentally friendly production process reduces their carbon footprint by around 70 percent in comparison with modules using conventional cells. Alongside ITS modules’ innovative manufacturing process, the use of renewable energy at the company’s production sites in Sweden and Germany as well as the short transport routes improve the company’s environmental footprint. A multitude of tests by independent experts, such as the Fraunhofer Institute, Photovoltaik-Institut Berlin and PV Lab, have demonstrated the high performance, durability and positive environmental impact of Innotech Solar’s European modules.
