The Spanish company ID Energy Group has signed an agreement with Soto Solar for the construction of a 4.2 MWp photovoltaic farm. The farm will be located in Los Alcázares, Murcia (Spain), and is the first contract to be signed by these two companies.
Engineering work is already under way and procurement of the main equipment is being finalised. In addition, initial work is being carried out to ensure that the project starts on time.
This agreement is the first collaboration between the two companies, both of which are currently growing and are important players in the photovoltaic sector.
Guillermo Verges, COO of ID Energy Group, highlighted the importance of this first partnership with Soto Solar. “This is an important milestone for us, not just because it involves a client like Soto Solar, but also because it is the ground-mounted project with the largest capacity that we have undertaken in recent years in Spain”, he stated.
Luis Fraga, Technical Director of Soto Solar, highlighted the company's interest in starting work on what will be an important project for both firms. “This project is a milestone for Soto Solar in terms of portfolio development. We have high hopes for this partnership with ID Energy Group and hope it is the start of a long-term relationship. For us, ID Energy Group is a trusted and important partner”.
According to ID Energy Group, the farm will begin operations in 2023 when the full EPC agreement with Soto Solar is completed.
