In 2018, the Government of South Australia launched Home Battery Scheme that provides 100 million Australian dollars of subsidies to promote the use of battery storage among households, and is expected to benefit 40,000 households with up to 6,000 Australian dollars for each.

With professional services, Sunterra, one of the largest PV retailers in Australia receives a large number of storage orders and Growatt has been picked to be its supplier for these solar storage projects. With technological advantages in equipment and system, Growatt provides one-stop solutions that integrate storage inverter, battery and BMS. So far this year, over 2,500 residential PV storage systems from Growatt have been delivered in Australia, ranking first among inverter and battery brands.

Growatt is also planning to launch its second generation batteries that can work with the SPH and SPA series, the most popular storage inverters in Australia. Compared with the first generation battery, Growatt’s new generation battery GBLI6532 has been updated with a remote-control function. With GBLI6532, service engineers can fix most of the battery errors via the Internet, reducing the needs for on-site diagnosis and troubleshooting. It will significantly reduce the maintenance cost of the battery system.

Providing the package solution of inverter and battery, system installation and maintenance will be made much easier, which can lower system cost, speed up installation and delivery and improve returns on the investment of solar plant. The whole system will be guaranteed by Growatt’s local service team in Australia, providing assurance of long term safety, stability and efficiency for the systems. Growatt will continue to invest in technology innovation and bring more advanced products and solutions to the Australian market.
