VDE 4130 Certification: Official Presentation for 255kW Utility-Scale Inverter

At the Solis booth, TÜV Rheinland and the Solis utility team celebrated the official handover of the VDE 4130 certificate for the Solis-(215-255)K-EHV-5G-PLUS high voltage inverter, a critical certification for solar installations in Germany and many other European countries. This series of inverters maximizes PV power plant yields from high-performance solar panels, including bifacials, and features a fuse-less design as well as IP66 protection. It also boasts a 14 MPPT/12 MPPT topology, a maximum efficiency of 99%, and supports a 200% DC/AC ratio. Also showcased during the exhibition was the 350k, offering up to 99% efficiency, 12/16 MPPTs, 32 inputs, a 20A string current, and supporting a 150% DC/AC ratio. The robust construction of both inverters makes them ideal for the challenging environments often encountered in utility-scale projects around the world.

Energy Security, Cost of Living, and Cyber Security Dominate the Conversation

From DIY balcony installations and C&I storage solutions to intelligent software integration and cyber security debates, the team enjoyed a wealth of conversations spanning all sectors of the solar landscape.

During the show, Solis unveiled its S6-GR1P(0.8)K-UM, a compact balcony inverter designed with the German market in mind, which did not disappoint. As compact and lightweight as a book, this easy-to-install inverter is suitable for various PV module configurations and applications, including balconies, terraces, garages, and outdoor projects, providing a user-friendly solution for sustainable living.

Also receiving much attention was Solis’ latest range of hybrid inverters. Visitors saw firsthand the S6-EH3P(8-15)K-L, S6-EH3P(12-20)K-H, and the powerful S6-EH3P(30-50)K-H inverters. Compatible with battery models from global brands like BYD, LG Energy Solutions, Dyness, and Pylon Tech, these inverters offer flexibility in system choice and help homeowners and businesses save on their energy costs.

While the inverters themselves garnered significant attention, the online commissioning and monitoring platform, SolisCloud, was also showcased. This platform enables installers, O&M providers, and system owners to manage their Solis installations seamlessly. Advanced diagnostics deliver string-level fault finding for precise troubleshooting and minimal downtime. Multiple systems can be managed across residential, commercial, and utility-scale plants. System owners benefit from seeing the sustainability impact of their investment through data displayed, including carbon emissions saved, equivalent trees planted, system yield, and earnings. SolisCloud is fully cyber secure to Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act (PSTI) standards, assuring customers that their data is protected and safe.
