Gadir Solar obtains MCS certification in order to expand into British market

Gadir Solar, has announced that its a-SIR and a-SIT PV modules have obtained UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme certification (MCS). The MCS is an internationally recognized quality assurance scheme which demonstrates that the company is committed to meeting rigorous and tested standards through an intensive evaluation of products, manufacturing processes, materials, procedures and staff training. The British government has required the possession of this certificate in order to sell and install PV modules in the United Kingdom, as well as access to feed-in tariff system.

Gadir Solar produces (a-Si) thin-film PV modules using modern technology based on plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition (PECVD) developed by Swiss company Oerlikon, whose technology boasts several advantages with respect to the alternatives:

More efficient use of silicon: it uses 99 precent less silicon, which results in a significantly lower energy return factor on the panels produced relative to any other technology.

Higher power output (kWh) per unit of installed capacity (kWp): due to its low temperature coefficient and high performance in weak sunlight.

As a result of specific features of a?Si modules, such as a lower efficiency loss coefficient and better capacity of diffuse radiation absorption, Gadir Solar panels are optimal for ground-mounted parks in warm or hot climates and rooftop facilities that do not boast the ideal orientation with respect to the sun.
