The new brand image of the Austrian company will be another feature this year. "Shifting the limits" is the motto. "Every day, we work on the development of innovative solutions for solar electronics. We make the impossible possible by shifting the limits of what's possible," summarises Christoph Panhuber, head of the Solar Electronics division.

The Fronius Personal Display DL will be presented for the first time in Europe at the Intersolar fair. The recently integrated datalogger function enables the popular living room display to monitor up to 15 inverters. In addition, the logged data can be exported via Fronius Solar.access, an intelligent software program that is used to record, store and analyse system data on a PC. The device will be on sale from the mid-2011.

The success story of the proven Fronius string monitoring continues with the Fronius String Control 100/12. Up to 12 strings can be combined in this device on one DC main line. The string currents are continuously compared via two measuring channels. Malfunctions in the system caused, for example, by shadows or even a cable break can therefore be detected quickly and reliably.

The ability to install a DIN rail-mounted overvoltage protector and the current carrying capacity of up to 100 A mean that maximum levels of protection are provided. The devices can be used indoors and outdoors without the need for an additional wall bracket. The new Fronius String Control 100/12 is expected to be available from May 2011.

The Fronius Service Partner programme makes Fronius the only manufacturer that allows trained installation engineers to replace inverter boards on site. Fronius teaches the necessary technical skills and expertise in its special service seminars.

As an added highlight, Fronius will for the first time be giving a demonstration on its stand of how to replace a board. A dedicated meeting place on the 736 m² Fronius stand will be the place to go for Fronius Service Partners and those who want to become one.

At Intersolar 2011, Fronius will provide an insight into the future of sustainable energy usage. Without spoiling the anticipation, an electric car and the Fronius Energy Cell using electrolysis will be added to the Fronius Vision Wall first unveiled in 2010. The very popular Fronius IG Plus range from the Austrian quality leader combines maximum yield dependability, highest levels of reliability, and a wide variety of applications in one device.

Fronius IG Plus inverters are all BDEW certified and available in the following power categories: 3 kW, 3.5 kW, 4 kW, 6.5 kW, 8 kW, 10 kW and 12 kW. The Fronius IG TL transformerless inverter range is perfect for systems of any size from detached houses to commercial and agricultural premises. The Fronius IG TL 5.0 was rated "Very Good" by Photon in 2010. Signature features of the Fronius CL central inverter are its unique modular design and the Fronius MIXTM concept.

In the 36, 48 and 60 kW power categories, the device is ideal for PV systems of up to several hundred kilowatts. Up to 15 identical power stage sets are switched on and off depending on insolation and operating hours. This optimises utilisation levels and ensures maximum yield from the PV system, especially when under partial loads.

The Fronius String Control 250/25 provides comprehensive monitoring for up to 25 strings. In addition, visitors will find everything they want to know about system monitoring in the shape of Fronius DATCOM, a user-friendly data communication system for monitoring individual PV systems.
