The discussion addressed the conditions that need to be met to create a strong renewables industry within Chile and outlined the current projects and government policy for renewables. These discussions will continue at the Chilean International Renewable Energy Congress (CIREC) which will bring together leading experts across the Geothermal, Wind and Solar power industries to discuss ways to drive forward the Chilean market. The Ministry of Energy, Enel Green Power, E.ON and Antofagasta Minerals will be among the expert speakers who will explore the potential of the market and the strategy for encouraging investment into a renewable, sustainable energy sector.
