Over the last twelve months, Energiebau Italia has been able to successfully expand its market position within the Italian PV industry. Roland Burmeister, head of International Sales at Energiebau, describes the companys objectives: Italy is one of the main European markets for PV and for us it is one of our key target markets. We are also considering opening offices in other Italian locations.
A reliable partner
The Italians are also very confident: As a skilled and reliable partner, we want to further strengthen our proximity to our customers and to meet their needs even better, says Luca Rossi, managing director of Energiebau Italia.
Energiebau Italia has deliberately selected Piacenza as the location of the sales office due to the fact it is centrally located with excellent transport links, and the town is perfectly situated for installers and solar power technicians in northern Italy to attend Energiebau product training in their proximity. From the central location of Arezzo, Energiebau Italia is continuing to supply its customers throughout Italy with modules, mounting systems and inverters.
A sunshine hotspot
In recent years, Italy has become one of the most attractive locations for solar power in Europe. This development is encouraged thanks to high feed-in tariffs for solar power as well as above-average hours of sunshine. Regions of southern Italy such as Puglia and Calabria are amongst the sunniest places in the whole of Europe with more than 2,500 hours of sunshine in the year.
