The award was presented at a ceremony at the BRE Innovation Park just outside of London. Nominations were collected from across the British industry with a final selection by an expert panel composed of representatives of the National Solar Energy Centre, BRE, Supergen Solar Hub and CREST.

Conergy built the UKs first 5MW+ solar plant in 2011 and in June was ranked among the top five builders of solar plants in Europes biggest solar market. So far this year the company has built over 125 MWp of UK capacity, including a 37MWp plant for European utility giant RWE in Prime Minister David Camerons constituency.
