The solar plant of Castellet II (3.8 MWp) is now commissioned. It is equipped with high – performance solar panels which are among the most efficient on the market and were built in France.
Awarded during the national solar tender CRE III organized in December 2015, the power plant benefits from a 20-year long-term electricity sales contract signed with EDF.
Located in the sunniest region of France, the solar plant is adjacent to the first Castellet plant (4.5 MWp) commissioned by Voltalia in 2013. The addition of this second power plant is part of Voltalia's strategy to generate additional value from the high-quality sites it selects.
This approach allows for the optimization of the operation & maintenance costs of the installations.
