The WUF12, themed “It All Starts at Home: Local actions for sustainable cities and communities,” focused on the urgent need for local solutions to challenges such as affordable housing, climate change, rising living costs, and access to basic services. This theme aligns with BLUETTI's mission to foster a better world through sustainable energy, particularly in Africa, where millions still lack reliable electricity. Limited access to power impacts daily life, education, and job opportunities, deepening poverty across the continent.
To address these issues, BLUETTI and UN-Habitat signed a “Technology Transfer” Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy in Africa. Key initiatives under this partnership include training electricians and providing clean energy education through BLUETTI's “Lighting An African Family” (LAAF) program. Since 2021, the LAAF program has helped over 15,000 off-grid families. BLUETTI plans to train 30,000–50,000 residents and students in Sub-Saharan Africa, empowering communities to embrace renewable energy and strengthen local resilience.
This partnership marks a significant step in BLUETTI's efforts to drive sustainable development and improve lives across Africa.
