The flagship “Leo 400 W” is a panel with white backsheet for the residential sector. The high output is, amongst others, achieved through larger wafers in a half-cell design. Furthermore, aleo uses an innovative multi-busbar technology. A full black version will also be part of the series.
With the Leo series, the company is once again launching a panel that is well suited for comfortable handling in rooftop applications. The dimensions of the flagship panel are 1750 by 1140 mm², with a weight of about. 22 kilograms. “It was particularly important to us to find the optimum between module size and high performance,” explains aleo's quality manager Dr. Alexander Kasic.
For a maximum of flexibility on difficult roofs, aleo offers two panel sizes. Both panels, the one with white and black backsheet, are available in a smaller design. Those panels measure 1560 by 1140 mm² and can be interconnected with their respective large counterparts
aleo's in-roof system Solrif will be incorporated into the new series as well. The new Solrif product will measure 1140 by 1590 mm².
For the market launch, aleo has allowed sufficient time for extensive testing. In the manufacturers own test centre close to Berlin, Germany, possible material combinations were examined and tested until the most promising combinations were found. High-potential products then underwent numerous internal and external tests, which go far beyond the industry standard. Until finally a product met the manufacturer's high standards in terms of durability, quality, and safety. The series will be certified according to the new IEC Standard (IEC 61215:2021). Additionally, the Leo-series will acquire the same certificates as the current module generation.
