Ergon Solair Africa Limited, a US-Kenyan solar developer operating in Africa, affiliate of Ergon Solair PBC (USA), is pleased to announce that its Kenya solar project, Kisumu Solar One 40MW has received approval from EPRA (Kenyan regulator) for commissioning of the full 40MWAC in Dec 2023 with PPA to be negotiated Take or Pay. The Project was granted in 2019 US Cents 7.5 / kWh feed in tariff.
The development was commenced in 2013 and received EOI approval in 2014, feasibility studies have been completed for the construction of the Project on a 249 Acre roadside land in Kibos, Kisumu (Kenya). The plant will interconnect to the new 220KV Kibos substation located in the vicinity. The plant estimated first year energy generation is 105.264 MWh.
