The Battery Pass is a digital passport meant to promote the sustainable scaling of global battery value chains. Battery makers will need to adhere to the framework of legislation forming the Battery Pass in the European Union by 2027. New European Union legislation will require battery makers to provide detailed documentation on the sourcing of the raw materials in their products, particularly critical materials such as lithium.
