Solar has a small but increasingly important role to play in the Nordic energy transition. And while there is still a gap in PV cost-competitiveness across some markets, interest in solar facades, BIPV solutions and C&I applications is growing.

Around 1% of Helsinki Airport’s electricity requirements are met by onsite solar installations, with plans underway for additional PV installations. With its aim of being carbon neutral, the airport meets the bulk of its electricity demand through wind power purchased on Nordic markets.
