With the world’s islands already experiencing some of the worst effects of climate change, much could be learned from their ability to demonstrate the viability of 100% clean energy systems. Greening the Islands says, in a case study, that the Mauritian territory of Rodrigues could run on 100% renewable energy by 2035, with solar making up more than 30% of the energy mix.
