EU solar glass investigation
The European Commission initiated anti-dumping proceedings against Chinese solar glass manufacturers on February 28, 2013, at the behest of EU ProSun Glass. It then announced the launch of an anti-subsidy investigation on April 27. Below is a timeline of events and related news.

November, 2013 | The Commission must issue its provisional anti-dumping findings by November, 2013. There are three possible scenarios: (i) Impose provisional anti-dumping duties (normally for a six months period); (ii) Continue the investigation without imposing provisional duties; or (iii) Terminate the investigation. |
January, 2014 | The Commission must issue its provisional anti-subsidy findings by January 2014. There are three possible scenarios: (i) Impose provisional anti-subsidy duties (normally for a four month period); (ii) Continue the investigation without imposing provisional duties; or (iii) Terminate the investigation. |
May 26, 2014 | The Council is legally obliged to take a final decision on the imposition of any definitive anti-subsidy measures within 13 months of the investigation being started. In the present case, that means before May 26,2014. The final anti-subsidy findings will be published in the Official Journal of the European Union. |
May 28, 2014 | The Council is legally obliged to take a decision on the imposition of any definitive anti-dumping measures within 15 months of the investigation being started.
