After the successful start of the conference last year in Münster with about 80 participants from industry and research, the international conference “Vehicle-to-Grid” will take place this year on 27 and 28 April at the Eurogress in Aachen.

The international conference, which takes place as part of the Battery Congress, will provide current insights into Vehicle-to-Grid, Vehicle-to-Home, and Smart Charging in 2023. With the help of concrete practical examples, potential analyses, and an outlook on foreseeable developments soon, participants will be able to examine which concrete steps are necessary for their respective companies and organisations in the near future to take on a pioneering role in electromobility. Furthermore, the exchange with professionals and experts from different fields will create a broad knowledge of V2X.

The conference is organised by HDT (Haus der Technik). The Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (ISEA) of RWTH Aachen University is responsible for the professional management.

Technical and systemic perspectives from industry, business, and academia

During the event, renowned international speakers will shed light on the key topics of “V2G and V2H from a vehicle perspective”, “V2G, V2H, and Smart Charging from a charging infrastructure perspective”, “Pilot projects and demonstrators”, “System integration” and “Grid expansion and utilisation through electromobility”.

Professor Mattia Marinelli (E-mobility and Prosumer Integration at the Technical University of Denmark) summarises the future importance and the need for further developments: “For unidirectional V2X, quite soon, the current energy/price crisis is definitely a mover. For bidirectional V2X, with CHADEMO being pushed out of Europe, we will have to wait for another 5-10 years.”

In addition to presentations from selected international speakers, there will be an exhibition and numerous opportunities to network with participants from industry, business, and research.

Attendance at the conference also includes free admission to the keynote presentations and all poster presentations at the parallel Advanced Battery Power conference.

The English-language conference will be held in person. However, online participation is also possible.
